How does CAS work?
Practitioners supply information to CAS, building their credentialing profile. Copies of documents generally requested during the credentialing process are also collected.

Upon receipt of all data and documents, practitioners review and approve profile.

As the need for various applications arise, practitioner contacts CAS, CAS pre-populates requested application, attaches documents and forwards to practitioner for review and signature.

How does CAS keep information "current"?
Instead of waiting until the application is received in the practitioner's office, CAS monitors the practitioners' file. As documents necessary for the credentialing process approach renewal, reminders are sent to the practitioner. CAS continues to follow up with the practitioner until documents are renewed and received. This is an on-going process, not done just when the application arrives.

What applications can be completed?
CAS can complete any application, but we generally focus on applications used in the credentialing and privileging process. If we don't already have it in our system we just need a copy to scan and map.

Can I view my profile and make changes on-line?
Practitioner information is available on-line through our secure web site. Data can be modified 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
